Becoming a Client

Sewickley Financial was founded with the objective of maximizing returns in the public markets for a small group of clients. We treat our clients as partners. It is their success & satisfaction which defines the firm.

Before beginning to partner with a client, we sit down to get to know them better & ask that they get to know us. After this meeting both parties take time to consider the value of working together.

Working Together

We work with the client to define their goals. We identify the client risk tolerance individually. If appropriate, we help them to develop a financial plan.

We then work up a long-term partnering plan. Nothing complicated, just a one-page overview that helps guide the partnership and the employment of the client’s assets over time. We also work up a one-year plan for new clients. This outlines what to expect during the initial stages of the partnership.*

We typically meet with clients twice a year to keep the partnership on the best footing possible. This meeting reviews the performance & attributes of the client’s investment, actively measuring the success of the partnership. It looks forward into a view of risk and opportunities.  And it contemplates the evolving goals of the client.

 

*  We are intentionally careful about how assets get handled during any transition. A large tax bill should not go hand-in-hand with changing investment advisors.
